Kaikai
You were here,
but could not grow up safely
Remember this child, and every child who needs protection in time.
He was more than a news story,
and his name must not be forgotten.
In this photograph, Kaikai sleeps quietly, his tiny face still soft with newborn innocence. He should have been held, fed, and soothed; every time he cried, someone should have answered.
The court's findings show a very young child enduring severe harm and prolonged suffering, unable to seek help or escape. On December 24, 2023, Kaikai died.
He never had the chance to grow up, go to school, or make friends. He never knew how many people would grieve for him and speak up in his name.
